Why virtual golf?

We love to play golf, but also understand the importance of family. It has become increasingly difficult to block off 5 hours to play a round of golf. At OC Indoor Golf you can plan on finishing a round in about 45 minutes per player. Here are a few other reasons we love it:

  • You can play day or night, rain or shine.
  • It's private. No foursomes driving up on you.
  • We have a gigantic hitting screen creating a fully immersive experience.
  • Practice before you play some of our local southland treasures like Pelican Hill and Torrey Pines.
  • Play championship courses from all over the world like St. Andrews.
  • It is much easier to socialize with your foursome as you are not constantly searching for your ball.
  • You don't have to worry about your opponents cheating!
  • View your yardages on each shot and really learn your clubs.
  • I could keep going, but I will save your the trouble.

Should I bring my own golf clubs/balls?

We definitely recommend bringing your own golf clubs. If you are playing with friends, we do not require that each player has their own set. Please feel free to share with your friends. Be prepared to use all the clubs in your bag... driver through putter.

We also recommend that you play the same ball that you would on the course. You will find that on our simulator, your ball choice plays just as big of a factor as it does outside. Remember, we are tracking ball speed, launch and spin. We do require that the balls you choose to play with are in new condition, as it prolongs the life of our simulator. We have balls available in case you do not have any available. Real clubs, real balls, championship courses.

We do have clubs to rent:

  • Wilson Pro Tour (Free)
  • Calloway Razor Irons with Titliest Drivers 910 ($10/round/player)

How much does it cost to play?

Monday - Friday: $9 per 15 minutes.
Saturday - Sunday: $10 per 15 minutes.

Remember that it takes about 45 minutes to finish 18 holes.

We do offer specials, so join our mailing list.

NOTE: You must make reservations in order to play on our simulator.

How big is your golf simulator?

Our golf simulator is very large. The immersive high definition hitting screen measures 17 feet wide by 10.5 feet tall. When you step into the simulator, it will feel as if you are looking down the fairway.

Do you provide golf instruction?

We are in the process of partnering with local teaching professionals that will offer private lessons on our top of the line golf simulator.

Can I practice on the golf simulator?

We highly recommend practicing on our golf simulator. Whether you are using one of the many virtual driving ranges or dropping your ball 100 yards out on your favorite championship course, you are sure to enjoy our practice mode. You can work on driving, approach shots and chipping.

We also offer a fitting mode that allows you to compare golf clubs. View your club head speed, ball speed, spin, distance and much more.

How long does it take to play a round of golf?

It depends on your pace of play and skill level, but on average you can plan on 45-60 minutes per golfer for 18 holes.

Are golf simulators accurate?

In one word. Yes. We use top of the line Foresight GC2 launch monitors that power the golf simulation software. Our launch monitors will give Trackman (the industry standard for outdoor monitoring) a run for their money.

Do not be fooled. Not all golf simulators are made equal. The GC2 is the only golf simulator on the market that makes publicly available its accuracy specifications. See the specifications

Where can I buy a golf simulator?

We are an authorized reseller of Foresight Sports and can provide you with all the components you need to get started. One of the best advantages of our simulator is that your can buy just the components you need.

  • You can purchase the the indoor/outdoor launch monitor and practice at home into a net or on the range.
  • Purchase the new IOS app and watch your ball flight on your iPhone or iPad.
  • You can purchase the golf simulation software separately and grow your course library over time.
  • If you have the space, you can get an impact screen and a short throw projector for an immersive simulation experience.
  • Start big or small. Scale up or down. You can build and modify the simulation environment you want. And when you’re ready to hit the range, simply unplug the GC2 and take it with you.
